SCOPE of CASYS'03
The scope of
CASYS'03 will be oriented to theoretical developments and applications in the
modelling and computing of anticipatory systems in any fields of natural and
artificial systems.
A computing
anticipatory system is a system which computes its current states in taking into
account its past and present states but also its potential future states.
Strong
anticipation refers to an anticipation of events built by or embedded in a
system.
Weak
anticipation refers to an anticipation of events predicted or forecasted from a
model of a system.

OF ABSTRACT AND DRAFT FULL PAPER
Potential authors are invited to submit a
paper for presentation at CASYS'03 :
Notification
of acceptance of the paper to be orally presented at CASYS'03: one week after the receipt of the abstract. Notification of acceptance of the paper to be
published in the proceedings: two
weeks after the receipt of the draft paper.Ê
Final paper will be due on
October 2003, after the conference.
Authors
are invited to send, as a Word or PDF file, a one-page abstract, as soon as possible, and a
draft full paper, by email to Daniel.Dubois@ulg.ac.be
or by post mail ( in two copies) to

2. What is the novelty in the paper?
3. In what aspect, the paper enhances the knowledge of
anticipatory systems?

Abstract can be sent as an
attached Word or PDF file by email, with the following format:

Title of Abstract (16 points bold, centred ) Authors names Affiliations, addresses / fax - e-mail - http (12 points) Keywords (12 points bold): Five keywords (12 points). Abstract The abstract will contain 1 page. The title should be written with
capitalised initials of words with at least 4 letters. Printing area should be 15 x 21.7
cm. Use sheets with format A4: 21 x 29.7 cm. The left and right margins are 3
cm and, upper and bottom margins are 4 cm. Text of abstract in simple interline, with Times New Roman 12-point font size and justified to occupy the full line width. |
An Abstract Book will be published and distributed to the
participants of the Conference.
FULL
DRAFT PAPER :
The full draft papers will be peer-reviewed by at least 2 different
referees: each author will
receive the comments of the referees after the conference in view of preparing the
camera-ready paper following the instructions which will be given.
All the accepted papers will be published in the CASYS'03
Proceedings: either in the AIP Conference Proceedings, published by the
American Institute of Physics, either in the International Journal of Computing
Anticipatory Systems, IJCAS, published by CHAOS asbl, following the advises of
the referees. The proceedings will appear in May 2004.
Awards for the Best Papers: The International Scientific and Program Committees will
select the best papers in each topics, following the advices of the referees.
The Best Paper Awards Ceremony will happen during the conference.
Instruction for the draft paper: The paper will clearly show:
1. What is the problem to resolve?
2. What is well-known?
3. What is the novelty in the paper?
4. What results are obtained?ÊÊ
5. What is the anticipatory aspect in the paper?
Review
papers and tutorial papers on anticipatory systems are also welcome.
